OKDC Company was founded in 1998, even though its actual owners have been running a business, as individuals, in the field of construction building since 1993.

At the very beginning the company focused on small constructions and craft services as well as production of steel constructions. In 2000, the Brickworks Division was established involving the realization of OKDC family house buildings according to the company's projects. Considering the growing number of orders in the field of steel constructions, Steel Constructions Division was also established. In 2001, the company became a member of Association of Building Entrepreneurs.

The company succeeded in obtaining ISO 9001:2001 certification in 2002 and introduced a new construction management system which contributed to further dynamic development of the company.

The year 2005 was crucial for the company winning the selection procedure for the outbuilding of Tesco Ostrava-Třebovice shopping center. This required establishment of another Division - Commercial buildings. The company has extended its craft services by inbuilt case and kitchen unit manufacturing and has established Wood Production Division this year.

In 2006, our company was the first one to obtain the certificate of constructing buildings made of Porotherm CB. In 2006 and 2007, the company took part in building some large commercial projects, such as Aquapark in Ostrava-Zábřeh, factory building of Kronodoor Jihlava, a housing complex in Ostrava Heřmanice, factory building of Donghee Český Těšín, factory building of Ferram Olomouc, Suzuki Motor Show in Ostrava-Poruba, Martina bakery in Paskov, a production line for OZO Ostrava and construction of 28 family houses round Ostrava.

In July 2007, after a complete quality audit of our pieces performed by Wienerberger, complete producer of Porotherm system, we were given the confidence to be the only building company in the Ostrava district to participate in the project POROTHERM DŮM (POROTHERM HOUSE). On the basis of this fact we have offered both construction of OKDC family houses and Porotherm family houses since July 2007.

Since 2007, the company has been involved in the field of charity by sponsorship of the Children center Domeček (a little house) in Ostrava-Zábřeh. A dynamic development of the company has required spreading our place of business in the way of additional purchases of the adjacent buildings, thus extending the original area to cca 5000 m2 and 2200 m2 of built-up area. For 2008, our company is planning a complete reconstruction of its interior and exterior area in order to conform to a residence of a dynamic and modern building company.

At the present time, the registered capital amounts to CZK 2 mil and we are planning to increase it up to CZK 5 mil. In 2012, the company is expecting a turnover in an amount of CZK 250-300 mil.
